What could twenty cents buy in 2007? This vintage apron. Here it is with the rest of my 'collection' - three aprons and a pinnie, really. I don't wear them - I just love to have them and look at them.

Vintage Aprons

Happy New Year 2

These images are from a great blog I've just discovered - Decorno. I love her term - sloppy chic - it's an aesthetic I can identify with.

More boatshed pics
Just a few more images I didn't have time to post earlier. I particularly love the ceiling rose which I've propped up against a wall on the back porch.
A White Christmas - at last
Finally, some images of the boatshed, now painted white. Some of the things I particularly love are my op shop finds - the white painted mirror, large shell, art deco mirror, and pear-patterned Johnson Brothers plates on the dresser. I have also temporarily covered the box seat with my Florence Broadhurst Circles and Squares fabric, until I can cover the footstool with it.

More Beautiful Images

These images are from Mrs Blandings' website and contain so many things I love, I don't know where to start. The fact that one looks like an old Dutch still life complete with nautilus cups is just amazing, and then there's the boatshed-like roofline of another.

Bali Style

These photos of Cafe Bali, Seminyak, were taken from Absolutely Beautiful Things. They have three of my favourite things - white chairs, mismatched mirrors, and plate-like shapes on a wall. I'd be happier without the tablecloths, but it still has a great, beachy feel.

Boatshed Christmas
Even though the boatshed is small, I try and make it festive with decorations from Ikea, some pretty pink ornaments and a tablescape in red, white and green.
