While at Arcachon, we took a day trip to Bordeaux, about 2 hours away, for the Wine Festival. Tents were set up along the banks of the Garonne, representing the wineries around Bordeaux:

The wine was good but for me, as usual, it was more about the food they were selling there. This is a canele, the local Bordeaux vanilla-infused cake:

And instead of hotdogs and hamburgers, there was terrine and pate:

And this pizza with goat's cheese:

And there was my old favourite, oysters with sausages, to accompany a cold glass of dry white wine:
