Narbonne

We are staying for a week at a home exchange near Narbonne, close to the Mediterranean coast. The house is quite large, so we have invited some guests:

The hammock in the garden is so inviting, it's difficult to tear ourselves away to explore the surrounding area:

However, we have managed to visit Beziers, where there are 9 locks which are part of the Canal du Midi. The canal forms part of a waterway across France:

We also went to Narbonne to buy supplies at the covered market, which is one of the best in France:

And stopped off at Narbonne Plage where some of us (not me) had a dip in the (chilly) Mediterranean:

We have been lucky enough to have our visitors James and Helene cook a delicious meal. Helene prepared the entree of foie gras:
