These are some lovely images of a house in U. K. Country Living from August 2007. I love the china, the colours, the mismatched furniture, and the way the owner doesn't let the house become too flowery or chintzy. He balances florals with metal beds, tables and chairs, as well as a stone floor, in order to restrain and refine the look. As part of this restraint, he has also mixed in some mid-century pieces.
i can't wait for spring, and better yet - summer! these pictures are making me very unhappy about the never ending grey days and biting winds. not sure how familiar you are with the british weather! but in 2007 we didn't have summer. no sunny days to wear pretty skirts and flipflops, no hope of catching some sun and having a little red nose with a few freckles. no opportunities to find a great bar and spend an afternoon sitting outside with cold beers......SIGH 2008 - heres hoping!
Just a note to let you know how delightful it is to discover your blog. So much absolutely lovely imagery, full of light and fragrant wildflowers. Absolutely wonderful!
