Holiday Souvenirs

On my recent Queensland holiday, I found some souvenirs to bring back to the boatshed. The fan in this photo was bought in Chinatown in Brisbane:

I loved them so much I bought two. They're so delicate that their lives as fans are probably limited, but they make a great wall decoration:

I can't afford a real chandelier, but this great hanging decoration from Kuranda markets fills the space above the table:

Hello,

The fans are lovely, and will be useful in the summer there. I love the hanging piece. It is perfect for that space. Do you really live in a boathouse?

The second fan is my favourite. Isn't it great to pick up some little 'treasure' when holidaying? I always try and look for artwork from places I've been to.

Hi Marjorie,

Yes, I'm fortunate enough to say that I do. It's beautiful in summer but can be cold and windy in winter. Hence the trip to Queensland. I think Carmel where you live sounds wonderful. Do you live on the water?

Beth,

Unfortunately, we don't live on the water, but it is close by. When we lived in Australia we also lived quite close to the water. Your place sounds like a dream situation. Do you have a boat? Hope good weather comes soon to your part of the world.

Cheers,

Marjorie
