After Brisbane, we stopped at Tin Can Bay, a very sleepy, picturesque spot:
Then it was northwards to Bargara, which is like a seaside version of Bundaberg. It is a charming spot, although our accommodation at $105 without breakfast was not as good value as we had previously experienced. Bargara Shoreline Apartment was a not-very-nostalgic trip back to the eighties (or some indeterminate time between then and now), complete with the frangipanis which less-than-imaginative motels up here tend to fall back on::
This was the view from the balcony:
However, just a short walk from our accommodation was an unspoilt view of the Coral Sea:

Mmmm, nice bedspread ;-)
The beautiful view more than makes up for the not-so-aesthetically-pleasing interior, though.
I wish I was somewhere warmer, I need to shake off this cold :-(
