We have decided to keep a pictorial record of our Queensland odyssey, which we embarked on a few days ago. The weather was so cold down south, we are in pursuit of some sunshine. Just for fun, we're posting a photograph of the view from the balcony of each hotel we stay at. This one's not a hotel, but our place that we left in Sydney. It may be a hard act to follow:
From Sydney we drove to the Mercure Centro at Port Macquarie. One of our objectives was to try and pay no more than an average of $100 per night. Here is what $89.10 per night bought at the Mercure. Not bad:
However, the view from the balcony was not exactly to-die-for, especially with the weather so poor. At least the room was a good price and very comfortable:
