Before and After

Recently I found a couple of ugly ducklings at the op shop, which I decided to transform. The first is a doll's house, which is going to find a home with my favourite little girl:

It needed a makeover, so now the interior has been painted with Berkshire White, my interior paint of choice:

While the exterior is now a very stylish Grey Ember:

I also found this coffee table with a rather scratched top:

The top has now been painted black and the table fits in well on the back porch:

I love it that you will redo the lil house! Will you add furniture! Its so pretty! The table is cute as well. I have an old small mod dresser that I wanna add to the porch for plants and the drawers would hold gardening gloves and and mosquito spray etc.things you need on the porch in the summer and early fall. I'm thinking it will keep me from going in and out of the house when I am enjoying the night air. What will you add to your table top decorative items or will you use it to have outdoor meals? I'm thinking the sweet little girl in your life will love the dollhouse.See you next post!

Hi Beth, you've made that dowdy dolls house into a decorator's dream canvas. Are you going to furnish it too? Have you seen Mousehouse's decorated doll's house post? It's really worth a look..superb!

Hi Beth, I've never seen such a chic dollhouse!
The table is great too. I'm awfully fond of black.

The colour choices for your dolls are perfect Beth, and l love that you left the stairs the original stain. The table with it's new black top is a great addition to your back porch area. Big love for the shell? curtain over the window...so beachy, pretty.

It's so lovely to be able to turn something old and tired into a little bit of you and it's always a talking point.
